It is true, being a wedding photographer on a paradise island is officially the best job in the world.
As I looked through all of the weddings that we have been involved with over 2016, I was brimming with happiness and wonder. Less then 5 years ago when we started on this adventure we had no idea where it would lead us.
Now we can proudly say that we have met some of the most awesome people, and all through our job, how freakin’ incredible is that. We are delighted and honoured to be a part of so many fantastic couples ‘big’ days and love that we now call so many of them our actual real friends.
We really do love our wedding couples
Just this afternoon we are headed out to spend sunset with a couple we met in 2015. Some of our very most favourite people and who we hang out with often we have met through taking their wedding photographs, the amazing designer for our book Eat, Drink and Be Straddie we met when she hired us for her wedding, I have brides as my morning walking partner, almost every Sunday afternoon we meet with another couple for sunset drinks at the Amity foreshore. Several other couples, we have been invited to their house or caught up for drinks/dinner/chats/laughs/nibblies/more shoots over the years, it really does fill my heart with just how incredible that is… what other job lets people connect in such a way.
So a huge shout out to couples who get married with sand between their toes, the wind in their hair and love for Straddie in their hearts. You are our people and we love you dearly.
And then we have the local suppliers who have us in awe every time we witness their work.
Wow guys, (yeah, you know who you are) could you be any more talented, helpful, professional, creative, friendly, inspiring and refreshing.
We have such a tight and established wedding team on the island and we both feel especially appreciative to be apart of it.
Thanks for the ride guys, we couldn’t have done it without you.
