They have lived in Melbourne for the past couple of years, but Straddie is the perfect spots to organise a destination wedding from Melbourne … especially during COVID … right!?

They managed it beautifully and we found ourselves on Deadman’s Reserve at Point Lookout, on a beautiful day, declaring to the world, what these guys have known for years, that they are in love and will spend the rest of their time  together.

They have had some bumps in the road to get onto that grassed reserve with a view.

Ceremony at Deadman’s

A couple of years ago, Cara was walking along the street and was involved in a serious accident, it was very serious and she spent a long time in hospital recovering. Alex was beside her at every step of the way and it was while sitting beside her bed, with the nurses calling her his wife, that he realised that it just felt right.

Cara talked about how Alex is the funniest person she knows, appreciates his talent for accents and that she is in awe of how he was prepared to change his entire life to support her.

Cara said ‘Wherever Alex is, to me that feels like home’ and isn’t that marriage just summed up right there.…

and I’m not crying, you are
