We all loved that it was Stacey and Cameron who were the recipients of the wedding giveaway (read below) and that we were going to hang out with them for the day.
On our first time meet Stace presented me with a bunch of daffodils and we were delighted.
The day was pretty damn perfect (Let’s not even mention that only 48 hours before Stu and I had been stuck on the tarmac at the Dubai airport, after a couple of months in Europe, for a whole watching of the Avengers – Endgame, nope – not at all stressful, thanks for the additional grey hairs Emirates)
And get this, Cam wrote and sang a song for their first dance (which we also used it in their highlights video, you can see that here) they were fun and happy and lovely and we were so stoked to have them as our first wedding back on the island (and also learnt a lesson about leaving our flights back to the last minute, our only excuse is… Isle of Wight Festival, we couldn’t resist you)

We were involved in a wedding give-away where one lucky couple won a wedding. Us, along with several other generous and talented small businesses on our beautiful island gave their services away as a prize.
A whole wedding – gosh, we have some amazing and hardworking businesses on this island. I just love our small by mighty wedding industry here on North Stradbroke Island
The competition was organised by none other then the amazing Donna, Tara and their team from Stradbroke Island Events. The contestants were asked for a video presenting why they should win… So of course the guy in the bee suit who throws his lovely wife-to-be in the pool won.
We also made a highlights video, which includes Cam’s very own pretty damn great song
