An absolute must do while on Straddie is to head down to the Cylinder Beach park where the local food trucks hang out.

Picture this … A sunset on the beach, with some delicious, fresh locally made food, maybe a couple of beers and some mates … sounds pretty perfect hey.

You can’t miss the bright yellow Sunshine Street Food van but also the lovely Danielle and her little team are a gorgeous beacon of shining light and rainbows.

And the food … oh wow. Hey make it all from scratch with love, from Mexican to Vietnamese, Greek to Sri Lankan.. you never know what you’re going to get and it is damned delicious.

Get in quick, or the locals would have been there already. My favourite is the fish tacos … no hang on I think it is the arranchini …. Hmmm but the seafood chowder is pretty amazing as well.

We always tell our wedding couples that they should consider Danielle’s bright yellow van for their big day.
